POSITION SUMMARY:
The relief treatment milieu worker is responsible for tracking and reporting clients’ treatment progress. Duties include basic care taking, child management, relationship-building, tracking and reporting client’s treatment progress and providing group leadership.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position is as follows:
Experience working with children
Bachelor’s degree or eligibility for QHMA if in a mental health position/role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with a broad variety of people, including staff, supervisors and management.
Works effectively as a team member.
Maintains appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to perform counseling and relationship skills effectively.
Demonstrates group leadership and organizational skills.
Willingness to assist in the physical management of children including physical restraints and escorts of children weighing up to 200 lbs. (once training is completed).
Regularly attend scheduled shifts, be punctual for scheduled shifts and meetings and be in a condition suitable for assuming responsibilities of position.
Effectively monitor safety and demonstrate group management skills and effectively de-escalate potentially chaotic or volatile situations.
Stays calm and emotionally available in an environment serving children with emotional disturbances.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Requires driving personal or agency vehicle, a valid driver’s license for state of residency, personal auto liability insurance, and a driving record permitting coverage under corporate auto liability policy.
Must pass criminal history background check.
Maintenance of current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required.
Must pass and maintain Oregon Intervention System training and certification.
COMPENSATION:
$10.32 -$10.55 Hourly DOE
