Process & Practices
Studies at Morrison Child and Family Services programs are generally one group, pre/post designs. Each program evaluation study is designed to answer four questions:
  • Are we serving our targeted population?
  • Are we providing the right mix of services?
  • Are children and families showing positive change?
  • Do these positive effects last?
In addition, we sometimes are able to consider a fifth question:
  • Which clients are (or are not) benefiting from treatment?

Although evaluations are customized to reflect each program’s unique characteristics, population and goals, each evaluation contains descriptive information about consumers (demographics, risk and protective factors, etc.) and services (type and amount), outcomes (functional and pre/post testing on standardized instruments), and consumer satisfaction.
