Morrison Honors Kathryn Falkenstern with CEO's Innovation Award
Portland, OR - September 23, 2011 – Morrison Child and Family Services awarded Kathryn Falkenstern, MSW, LCSW with the CEO’s Innovation Award. She was awarded the CEO’s Innovation Award for her on-going ability to lead and support a team of early childhood mental health professionals and her excellence in implementing a very detailed and complicated evidence-based practice model.
Her supervisor, Margie MacLeod, Director of Quality, Program Development and Prevention Services reflected on Ms. Falkenstern, “Kathryn is a dedicated, loyal, wise leader of our Early Childhood Consultation and Incredible Years services.”
Ms. Falkenstern joined Morrison in 2000.
The Morrison Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation and Incredible Years Project provides prevention services for young children in a variety of early childhood settings, including Head Start, Early Head Start, childcare centers and family home childcare providers. The Morrison Employee Appreciation Event was founded in 2008. Employee Appreciation is funded by Morrison’s Board of Directors and a fund set up by Morrison’s Leadership Team. The CEO’s Innovation award was created in 2009 to recognize the every day accomplishments of Morrison’s staff. The award is decided upon by Morrison’s Leadership Team.
