Brandy Clopton
Brandy chose to become a member of the Ambassador Board  because of her interest in organizations that support our community.

Adam Gamboa
Adam volunteers his time with Morrison because he believes strongly in
their mission. He feels helping children succeed is the most effective way of striking at the root of many of society's problems. Adam is also a member of the City Club of Portland Friday Forum Committee, the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association and a pro bono attorney at the Legal Aid Services of Oregon Bankruptcy Clinic.

Margot Hull
Margot is a member of the Ambassador Board.

Mara Hoogerhuis, Chair
“Learning” and “impact” have been recurring themes throughout Mara Hoogerhuis’s career. She has experience in management, training and facilitation and a Master’s Degree in the Management of Learning from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Mara has a passion for supporting and promoting the amazing work already being done by Morrison. Having volunteered for various Morrison events for over a decade, Mara is excited to support the organization, and children they impact, in a more formal manner as a member of the Ambassador Board.

Michael Larlee
Michael credits having a very supportive family growing up, as well as several strong leaders and mentors who were committed to being a positive influence in his life to his desire to work to support youth in a similar manner. He has worked as a mentor at his alma mater, Grant High School, Portland Young Life and Portland Leadership Foundation. Michael is thrilled to be involved with Morrison and the great work that they do to empower lives and provide new chances for youth and families in our community.

Deanna Phillips
Deanna graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in Elementary Education.  As a member of the Junior League of Portland, she began volunteering and using her knowledge to help children in our community.  She and her family have a long standing relationship with Morrison.

Jonathan Strauhal
Jonathan works at a non-profit organization that advocates for low-income
individuals, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized populations.  As
one of seven children, Jonathan recalls the importance for his family in having
good role models, being supported and encouraged, and living a stable home.
Jonathan volunteers his time outside of work for causes and organizations he
believes in, like Morrison, and is delighted and honored to have the chance to
serve on the Ambassador Board

David Thompson
David's favorite community organization is Morrison Child and Family Services. In his own words, "Because of the fantastic staff and programs developed on evidence based research, I feel that my time is best put to use working with Morrison."

Erin Thompson, Vice Chair
Erin is passionate about the work that Morrison does because, "[f]irst, it is proven to work. Second, it has been around for over 60 years and has deep roots within the local community. Morrison has a strong commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect, exposure to drugs and alcohol and more through a holistic approach and a comprehensive range of services." She is impressed with the client success stories and the vital role that Morrison plays in our community.

JaReda Webb, Secretary
JaReda has been with First Tech Credit Union for over 19 years, many of those years leading First Tech’s employee-driven charitable activities program, focusing on fundraising and volunteerism, and supporting the LiveForward program partnering with organizations such as Morrison Child & Family Services, Credit Unions for Kids, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the March of Dimes and the Oregon Food Bank. JaReda’s community involvement includes work with the above organizations, as well as the Red Cross, EasterSeals and Candlelighters for Children with Cancer.

Sarah Zuber
Sarah supports Morrison because of the breadth and reach of their impact on kids in need and the organizational capacity to put our dollars to good use. She wants to help ensure that Morrison is able to continue helping children and families heal, grow and lead happy and fulfilled lives.
